#1: [G?] World of Warcraft?

Posted on 2005-05-11 10:10:54 by Tim Nicholson

Hi

Just a thought - but are any afp'ers out there currently playing World
of Warcraft? I see the odd discworld character names from time to
time, but suspect (since the players themselves seem to deny all
knowledge of afp) that there may be more of us about than you might
otherwise expect.

Anyway - down to business - in the words of MLK "I have a Dream" - but
this is a particularly silly dream....

In WoW your characters take the form of one of several classes,
including rather small gnomes. Options available during the character
creation operation allow changes to certain features, like face shape,
hair style and hair colour etc. (anyone see where this is leading
yet?)

So we can have a small gnomish sized warrior (or lots of em) all with
red hair, wearing kilts , and can join together in a 'guild' to run
raids on other parts of the world??????

There's an obvious choice for the guild name - and so I'd hereby like
to ask any players who've read this far to considering starting
another gnome character on the Frostwhisper European realm. If we get
enough players (10 I think) the "Nac Mac Feegle" will bring terror,
destruction and a few laughs to an otherwise exciting MMORPG

Look for RobAnybody or Jeannie

See you soon

Cheers

Tim

Sounds interesting. However, I have something against paying for a
computer game more than once so for the moment I don't play WoW.

My son plays as Skazz (not sure which server tbh) and always does in online
games. (im ViMeS or StoneFace in FPS games like Unreal Tournament 2004 etc).
anoyingly enough - there is another Vimes on Quakenet irc who knows nothing
about TP etc - keeps nicking my nick!!!

Re: Nac Mac Feegle - superb idea tbh on WoW - shame it isnt customisable for
skins etc like many other games.

You can pick skin color. I don't think blue is an option for gnomes
though. If you mean the interface: that's pretty customizable too, just
a lot of work.
