#1: -[F]-Back at it for August in Vancouver

Posted on 2006-07-21 05:09:58 by Blake

How about Saturday the 12th of August for a spot of tea?
Does that work for everybody?
Does that work for anybody?
Where would be a good place?
To start the 'where' discussion, there is a place on Main Street,
attached to Cobs Bread (between 13th and 14th on the east side of the
street). Does anyone know if it's any good?

Cheers,

Blake

Date sounds good so far. Time still something like 2:30 pm?

I've been to the vegetarian chinese food place there - the
Bo Kung - and it was excellent, though pricey. I've been
to the Liberty Bakery, and their meringue cookies are very
good, as are their butter tarts, and hot cross buns. And, I've
been to a coffee shop near there, whose name I forget - JJ
Bean? - but which has a '60's hooded fireplace in the middle,
and it was good too.

I don't recollect the coffee shop attached to the Cobs Bread,
so I don't have any info about it.

Next!

April.

I'll take that as my cue : )

Since I've hardly ever been to anything on Main St, I'll just have to say
"Where's your sense of adventure?"
Let's try it and find out. After all,if we don't like it, we can always suspend

Date: Good. Time: Good. Place: May well be good. Sense of adventure: Appears
to be in working order. So yes, unless something happens to change things.

Ok, I'm not snipping any of that stuff, on purpose. Time, fine with me
but if you want to do it earlier that should also be fine. Thus far, it
looks like I'll have that day off.

1:30? I'm having my usual zapping from 12:30 - 1:00 at Broadway and
Commercial so I could be there by 1:30ish or anytime after that...

I don't need the scorpion pit. I promise not to do a mime routine. I
know most of the words.
