#1: Question about a book

Posted on 2006-07-19 07:50:04 by SilverTabby

I think I read here a couple of weeks ago about an ebook called Vlesia, in
the New Jedi Order series. I can't find it now in the google groups.
Any how.......if anyone has read it, is it worth the $2-3 dollars to buy it
to read? I did find it on ebay a few days ago, there aren't any now. If it's
worth it, I'll keep looking for it.

Any advice is great.
Thanks,

~Lissa
Give a person a SW dvd and they'll watch it all day
Show that person SW on YouTube and they won't bother you for weeks.

The ebook Ylesia (note: that's a "Y" not a "V") is also (re)printed in
the back of the paperback version of the novel "Star Wars: Dark Nest I
- The Joiner King" by Troy Denning.

ebooks can't go "out of stock", so you should be able to buy it
wherever it is that you buy ebooks ... as long as the publisher haven't
ended it's sale. I wouldn't bother buying an ebook via eBay. Google
turns up these two places amoung about a billion others:
http://web.ebooks.com and http://www.ebookmall It's no doubt available
for free on various pirate websites and file-sharing servers.

As for whether the story is worth $2-3, I can't say since I haven't
actually read it yet.

Typically the e-books are filler material between larger works, and
you're not missing anything by not reading it. However, if you're a
devoted fan who wants to read every single EU work, $2-$3 is not a bad
price. But you might as well buy "The Joiner King" and get two works
for the price of one.

So if I read the book now it's in the future? From my list, the Dark Nest
books don't start till 5 years after the Yuuzhan Yong war.

You don't have to read the Dark Nest story - it's simply that the
Ylesia ebook is a separate bonus extra in the back of that book. You
could read Ylesia now and Dark Nest later.
