#1: Is this Dale Bozzio?

Posted on 2006-07-03 21:04:00 by Dirk Van de moortel

We all know this is Dale Bozzio in Packard Goose on Joe's Garage:
<a href="http://users.telenet.be/vdmoortel/dirk/Stuff/ThisIsDaleBozzio.mp3" target="_blank"> http://users.telenet.be/vdmoortel/dirk/Stuff/ThisIsDaleBozzi o.mp3</a>
(251 Kb)

Now I happened to be reviewing segment 28 of the online introductory
physics course The Mechanical Universe and Beyond:
<a href="http://www.ctl.ua.edu/DigitalVideos/ctlisgreat/muab.asp" target="_blank">http://www.ctl.ua.edu/DigitalVideos/ctlisgreat/muab.asp</a>
and this little piece of comment suddenly struck my ears:
<a href="http://users.telenet.be/vdmoortel/dirk/Stuff/IsThisDaleBozzio.mp3" target="_blank"> http://users.telenet.be/vdmoortel/dirk/Stuff/IsThisDaleBozzi o.mp3</a>
(202 Kb)
Same voice, same timbre, but perhaps a few years older.
The credits at the end give the main narrator's name, but
the female voice is not mentioned.

Could this be DB?
Thoughts?

Maybe it IS her. There are enough similarities to think it is.
The last time I heard her voice recorded was on JG, from the
1970s.
She's probably older by now.

Like &quot;Bwaston&quot; you mean...
I do hear a lot of that sound, but I guess someone from that Area
will hear subtle differences between the real thing and the Sears
thing ;-)

Well, there really *are* many similarities...
Striking.
