Hi, all:
Thanks to Christopher for contacting me about this. I have let a
Dragon into my home office (Dragon Naturally Speaking voice
recognition software, that is) in the hopes of cutting down my work
load so I could have some time to do many things, not least to get
caught up on the groups and the COTW discussion and get the page
updated. Unfortunately, it has not been an easy transition (I could
also whine about Hurricane Dennis and the yard work required for a
house in the South in summer, but we didn't get much damage out of the
former this far inland and the latter is just par for the course, I
guess).
Anyway, this week am still struggling to gain control of the schedule
and old Smaug, and can't post this in a hurry. I hope that it will be
all right to wait until Sunday to post this COTW summary. I am
probably not going to get a chance to download all the current
newsgroup messages until then either, so please do e-mail me with any
particular comments, complaints, etc. If it absolutely must be put up
this week I understand and will try to make room to do it tomorrow,
but Sunday would be ideal, if that's agreeable to everybody.
My apologies to all for the delay and confusion. FWIW, I have gotten
a copy of "Letters" though I haven't gotten very far into it yet. Was
surprised to see that it's out of print. :-(
I do look forward to some topical discussions on that, the COTW and
other things soon, though.
