Um - er - sorry, what is the emergency in question?

A couple of questions. How do I stop the wires short-circuiting, and what's
this nylon washer for?

As has sadly been proved today. :( No doubt the attacks on London were
planned long ago to coincide with the G8 summit, but the timing was
particularly cruel because the city had been in such a happy and celebratory
mood after winning the 2012 Olympics bid yesterday. Now, of course, that
has been overshadowed by today's awful events.
