community on the planet New Los Angeles
Good Morn America

Maybe not SOON, but eventually, when Berman and his lackies fall out of the
picture, it'll happen. I'd wait 10 years to see something GOOD than wait a
year or two for the same dreck.

Hmm, it could happen...
A team with Manny Coto and/or Ronald D. Moore. Or J. Michael Straczynski and
Joss Whedon.
It could kick ass.

Star Trek: 24.
Section 31 has 24 hours to stop a bomb that will destroy the galaxy.
They will do *anything* to stop it from detonating.
And that's just the first season (Day 1).

I thought JMS once did a pitch for Star Trek. Together with Bryce Zabel.

As for Joss (and who probably would make a darker Trek) one could say he's
many things: Trekkie, Warsie, Marvelite. Obviously a fan of Wonder Woman and
the Alien franchise. Of all the modern creators of cool television he's
closest to the average of us (that's my impression at least).
I wouldn't be against a darker Trek, being a fan of Star Trek Deep Space
Nine which is by far the best of all modern Treks. Ron Moore had a say there
too.
I could picture a Trek set beyond the borders (and please *NOT* in Voyager
style) on a remote outpost or maybe an entire new sector, exploring outward.

or the Bajoran version: 26
:]
Talk about a series where you'd be really mad over a time travel/reset
button story...man, the fans riot - which for trekkies would mean they come
up out of their basements and get surly with their mothers. En masse.
