Hmmm... No. I think the word I'm looking for is "puke"... Yes, that's
it! I hear there are two more alternative endings, though. I'm looking
forward to hearing them when I get the CD.
Well, I would simply have preferred a completely rewritten ending rather
than an extra ending.
Then again, I couldn't do it any better myself - but of course, that's
the point - it wasn't done much better than I would have done...
Oh well, there were good bits. Marvin being under warranty was actually
great, and although Zarquon must be spelled with some strange, not only
silent, but also invisible letter just after the Z, a letter quite late
in the alphabet, it was nice to meet him and Wowbagger again. The rest
was pretty horrible to me, though.
Best

It may be a minority, but, I agree with this opinion of the
ending. I didn't hate it, but, it seemed a bit forced. To get
everyone together one last time and write out the "bad" ending of
Mostly Harmless. That ending, which, I liked, BTW. :)

Not perfect, but I liked the new, happier ending.
Given that Douglas Adams said in a number of the writings in "The Salmon of
Doubt" that he wanted to write another Hitchhiker's book so as to not leave
the storyline standing with the dark ending of "Mostly Harmless", I think
the BBC adding a happier ending to the radio adaptation was a must.
