No hurricane here and as such no rain. Even the breeze seems to have left

Mind that if you add Temp and Humidity together and get 150+, limit outdoor
activity. If it totals 180 or more, STAY INSIDE. It's enough to kill.

And what they say about Calgary? "If you don't like the weather, wait 5
minutes." We've actually had all 4 seasons in one day, from 25C and
sunny to 10C and overcast to -15C and snowing, to 5C and raining, to 20C
and sunny..... All in the space of about an hour.....

Here it is always hot and steamy in the summer. Weathermen put a small
percemtage on afternoon showers. They are hit or mostly mist/miss. Yeah. It
will change and get hotter still unless there is a hurricane.

That saying isn't just common in Calgary. It's the Continental North-
West Margin biome; Britain and New Zealand have similar problems. :)

Kinda like Florida, it rains at 1 pm there... just about every day...
laugh... we figured that out by the 2nd day when everybody just dissappeared
from the amusement parks into stores and such about ten to 1...

In Calgary's case, it's because there are 3 completely different weather
systems that collide smack dab over the city. There's the one from the
west, over the mountains, source of the winter Chinook winds, one from
the northeast, from NWT and Nunuvut, and one from the southeast, from
the central US.

Update: Flood warnings and voluntary evacuations are back in effect.

completely underwater (as well as the rest of the country) before the
water got high enough to bother us. I may go down to look at the river
tomorrow.....

I'm in Florida now, and it is hot and steamy. It has also been raining
quite a bit. They closed the water parks in Disney World two days ago.
