Welcome to the first annual Faerie Ball!
June 25, 2005

In Faerie Lore it is said that no Faerie will reveal his or her true
name, if they do they will become slaves to the one who knows it. With
that premise, we hereby decree that all attendees choose for themselves
a unique name by which they will be known in all future communications.
To go along with this- we also decree that all attendees will wear
costumes including masks or make up to disguise their true identity.
Faeries, Sprites, Elves, Nyads, Dryads, Elementals, Earth Spirits, and
the like are all welcome- NO MORTALS PLEASE!

This will be a BYO party- this includes but is not limited to: Food,
Alcohol, Tents, Chairs, and Amusements.

Due to this being a first time event attendance has been limited to 50
guests. To become a member of the guest list please RSVP with your
Faerie Name and the names of all guests of your party, and email
addresses to faerieball2005 [at] hotmail.com .

When RSVP is confirmed time and location will be forwarded to attendees!


This is an introductory email to secure interest in this spectacular
outdoor event. Please forward this to all of your friends and Faerie
enthusiasts.


We are not responsible for any injuries or deaths that may occur during
the event-

Ah, well...I have no chance at making it. It's a bit far to go, 2441.77
miles from my house. I'd have to leave school Thursday night, and then
leave from home close to immediately, drive fore 41 hours and make it there
by Dinner Saturday. Have about an hour to party, then get back in the car
and drive all the way back in time for school on Tuesday.

It's a request for someone to confirm their presence at an event, from
the French "Respondez, s'il vous plait" (literally, "reply please"). I
agree with the previous comment -- if one doesn't have a location, one
can't very well send an RSVP message. <:)

Well, if this goes well (which it doesn't look too good so far, only 4
people RSVPd thus far) then it'll be an annual thing, perhaps
travelling, since the one who set it all up (with a little help from
widdle old me) will be going to school in New York next year.....

Unless you're planning to ride your bike very, very, very fast, so you
can manage to skim across the Atlantic ocean, I'm guessing you can't
spur-of-the-moment make it to Caroline, Alberta, Canada in a couple of
weeks..... Which is too bad, if this worked out, we could start a new
Gather.....

Well, the only problem is that everything needs to be provided by the
attendee, including transportation..... If anything, we could provide
maybe 1 person with transportation, and that's a big maybe.....

That's a BIT better, but still a long drive.
Heck, I'm going to have difficulty getting to Anthro Con in '06, and I know
nothing about what the dates are...it's the fact that it'll be in
Pittsburgh...a 6 hour drive...

New York is a bit far, but I might turn it into a kind of family reunion
type thing since my brother lives in Ontario, so that would be a better
justification than just a party.....
