There is no best version. If I could only have one iteration, it would
be... I was going to say the original radio series, because those were my
introduction to the whole general mishmash, but then what about the books?
The other best parts are in the books. And there are best parts in the TV
version... And there are bits in the movie that are really great. And the
new radio series is good, too. OK. My least favorite iteration is the text
game, but there are good bits there, as well...

In conclusion, all the versions together make up a greater whole than the
sum of its parts. Yes. But, any of them can be enjoyed for their own
merits. (Some more than others.) Thank you for your time and attention.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Hmmm, better for what ? I like to read the booksm but you cant read the
Radio series or the movie .... I like to interact with the text game which
you can't do with the other versions....
>
> [ x] Radio series (original phases)
The first I came across and which all other versions are based on, to some
extent or other. Stunning audio effects.

> [ *] Books
Ah yes. These are the only version to carry on the story further than
before. I like the new(er) stuff adn always enjoyed finding out daft things
like why the bowl of petunias said. 'Oh no, not again'.

> [ #] TV series
It was a bit corny and lacking in atmosphere, but it really tried hard to
depict the radio series and is well worth a look now IMHO.

> [ +] Computer game
Text adventures are not everyone's cup of tea. But they often aren't written
very well. This was one of the first to be genuinely funny as well as
intriguing and featuring dastardly new puzzles which I think were really
pretty cool. The bit where you get the babel fish is tremendous.

> [. ] Comics
Not got them so I don't really know though I seem to remember looking at
them in one of those Sci Fi book shops. Looked OK but nowt special IIRC.

> [! ] Radio series (new phases
Quite good to listen to and I sort of like them but I don't think I enjoy
them too much IYSWIM

> [ $] Movie
Not my favourite. I sort of liked it - a bit. There were definitely some
rather good parts, but a bit of dross and some vital bits missing which
spoiled things.

Yes, but that's not what I asked, I asked which you thought was the best
one? Most people can identify one and if not you can just tick two, or
"Goosnargh" which covers all eventualities.

It didn't really require an analysis.

In the tradition of usenet's requirement to get a proper answer, I'll
postulate the wrong one which will thus spawn forth many "Nope, that's
wrong, it's actually..." posts.

Domo = house [think "domicile"]
Arigato = sort of a cross between "good bye" and "thank you very much"
Kudasai = just a kinda general well wishing type thing.

Kinda mish-mashes into a "I wish you well as I leave you where you
live" kinda thing.
