I always thought the Klingyons use of the term Earthers was rather
derogetory. Spit it out "Earthers."

Deosn't mean it isn't accurate though. Consider the word "Jew"
for instance, which is an insult the way some people use it
even though it's completely accurate.

And sometimes it's used as a badge of honor by people who aren't even
Jewish.

Any word can be turned into an insult with the tone of your voice.
I could start a movement called "Earthers First," which espoused the
belief that Earthers were better than those filthy Martians that
everybody hates, then Earther would be proud word.
