Today I went to the funeral of a friend who died suddenly aged 49. He was a
musician and wrote stories and was involved in the arts.
The funeral was non-religious conducted by a member of the British Humanist
Association. By far the most dignified and pleasant that I've been to.
I couldn't help thinking of Douglas and the similarities. My friend was
tried to get films made too. The funny thing was they played a preview of
the HHGG movie today. It was a strange emotional day.

I have some friends that are Humanists. Not exactly a religion, but it
fills the same hole in the calendar. Looks like the funeral was nice.
My thoughts are with you. It's a bummer to lose a friend.

In the two thousand and fifth year of Bob, Steve Marshall's voice said the
following, in wonderful perfect quadrophonic sound with distortion levels so
low as to make a man weep:
> Today I went to the funeral of a friend who died suddenly aged 49. He was a

I would also like to offer my condolences. While nothing can bring a
friend back, good memories will always keep him alive to some degree.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
This probably isn't the right place for this sort of thing but I was
reminded so much of Douglas - it was like losing him again too.
Cherish your friends, you never know when you might lose them !

That sounds like a "good" way to say goodbye to a good friend. The
important thing is to have a hallpy memory of the friend afterwards. I
hop you have. I'm sorry for you.
