Selling off my radio scripts [message #35882] Di, 17 Mai 2005 00:57
Michael Cule
I'm Mike Cule who played the Vogon Guard in episode two of the BBC
Television Series. I recently appeared in the new radio version of SO
LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH.

And I'm flogging off the two scripts I have (of episode one and episode
three) on eBay. (This is a crass commercial venture to try to get me to
Worldcon). They have been signed by all the cast
members present on my days in the studio including Simon Jones, Geoffery
McGivern and Steven Fry.

The following links should take you there

1st script: http://tinyurl.com/dt89d

The script for episode one is signed by:

Chris Emmet, Bob Golding, Simon Jones, Arthur Smith, Geoffery
McGivern, Bill Paterson, Allison Pettit, Fiona Carew, Michael Cule
and Dirk Maggs.

2nd script: http://tinyurl.com/alzov

The Script for episode three is signed by:

Jane Horrocks, Simon Jones, Geoffery McGivern, Dominic
Hawksley, Michael Cule, Margaret Robertson, Stephen Fry, Dirk
Maggs and an illegible squiggle which is either Simon Greenall or
Toby Longworth.

Or try Searching for 'Autographed Script HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO
THE GALAXY'.

If this guy was for real, wouldn't he be telling us that we have to buy them
and "resistance is useless"?

Futile, not useless!
Even Vogonians have the right of being quoted correctly.

I'm pretty sure we established in an earlier thread that the word in
question was, indeed, "useless".

I'm not saying the word "futile" is a useless word, but for the sake of
quoting that particular Vogon, "useless" would be the correct word.
"Resistance is futile" was from Star Trek, right?

Wow, now I'm getting confused!... back to lurking.

You are quite right! Borgs in Star Trek claim resistence to be futile,
but we vogon-lovers know that it is indeed useless.

RESISTANCE IS USELESS!!!!!

As I am perfectly for real, I have better taste.

(Good grief....)

Why would I be unreal? How much money do you think there is in conning
HH fans?

(And the other poster was quite correct: 'futile' is for Borg who are
better educated than us thuggish Vogons....)

Don't take it personally. They used to do the same thing to Douglas himself
when he occasionally posted here.

Chiggy.

P.S.: Ta-da-da-DUM! That do anything for you?

Aah, I'm sorry. Are you going to read me some poetry for what I've done?

Happily, since you decided to correct me.

Oh, Freddled Gruntbuggly,
thy micturations are to me
as plurdled grabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.

Groop! I implore thee!
My foonting Turlingdromes!
And hooptiously drangle me in crinkly bindlewurdles
or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my Blurglecruncheon.
See if I don't!

6/10: I spent the evening pouring beer at the Foo Fighters
Social Distortion and Lovemakers concert in Mountain View.
I'm still surprised that people are willing to pay $6.50
for a sixteen ounce beer. Our booth took in about $1955.

But now you won't see if he links to a wave file with the poem - and
that would probably be a lot worse than reading it.
