Why did they even bother to kill off Trip? The writers just threw that in
as they figured "hey its the finale, maybe we can get some tears flowing".
Don't worry guys the plot of the episode and including TNG was enough to
bring tears to my eyes. The only fulfilling thing about the TNG aspect was
the updated CG's. I was a true fan growing up and paramount just ended my
love of trek period. So long guys.

I, personally, thought that they did a fine job of that in Part 1 with Trip,
T'Pol and Flox's reaction to Elizabeth's pending death. I thought that
scene was very nicely handled.
I also must admit I liked the scene in Part 2 where Archer was talking to
T'Pol, after Trip's death, while she was packing. The particular image -
Archer walking away from T'Pol, towards a mirror with Riker only showing up
in the mirror image while in "Objective Mode", yet not in the motion scenes,
was excellently done I thought. Very nice use of camera angle and
viewpoint.
