Just got back from seeing it. If you haven't, I highly recommend it!!
It's hilarious!!

It's mostly true to the book. there are a few things left out, and a few
added in, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it..... That'll be joining my
DVD collection as soon as it comes out.....

I still don't know in any case which is best to see first: the book or

Apparently, there's a lot missed in the movie that you only get if
you've read the book, so perhaps the book is a better thing to read.

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, it's the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the
Galaxy first book, it ends where the first book ends. Hopefully that
means that The Restaurant at the End of the Universe will also be made
into a movie.

Oh, of course.
(They are also turning the Restaurant at the End of the Universe into a
conscious choice instead of an accident, as well as ruining the point of the
Restaurant ("Not that anyone cares what I think," says Mar vin, "but the
Restaurant at the End of the Universe is the other direction." No Marvin, I
don think so. That would the Restaurant at the Beginning of the Universe.))

It was a conscious choice in the book, too. Only in the TV series did
they skip there by mistake, made necessary by skipping the end of the
first book and the start of the second.
