If you could be a record, would it be Randy Newman's Lonely at the Top?

How about Baltimore? I think Baltimore is perhaps the greatest song ever
written by someone named Randy Newman, but Lonely at the Top is close to the
top... Ry Cooder does a great riff on Baltimore

What did Douglas like listening to?

If I were a "record", I'd be "World's Most Desirable Man (to Women)"...

Nope.
If I were a record I might be Edgar Winter's Entrance album - the whole
thing, not just one track - but then much of it blends together.

Beatles, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd - that kind of thing. Presummably the
Eagles too !

I would be either Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", Led Zeppelin's
fourth unnamed album (aka: Symbols) or the Grateful Dead's "Blues for
Allah."

It is good, however I do not recall a record called so. Don't you
think of "The Wall" where this song is from?
(excellent album by the way, yhough not their best)

I love "The Wall". I think it's my favourite Pink Floyd album - I can just
listen to it again and again.
I like Dark Side Of The Moon but there's just so much more variety to The
Wall.
We put it on whilst playing poker, on repeat. Six hours later and its still
on ;o)

Oh, it seems to be a vinyl single. Which, I guess, qualifies it for a
record. However, that does not qualify it as an album, so I remembered
somewhat right on thinking there was no album called so. However, of
course, that was not exactly what I wrote.

I do too.

I like DSOTM better than the wall, however I still think Wish You were
here is their best.

Oh, I do not play that much poker...

Have you ever trying syncing Dark Side of the Moon to the Wizard of Oz
movie? Apparently, DSOTM makes a strangely accurate soundtrack if you begin
playing the album as the lion roars at the movie's start. Never tried it
myself, but I have it on very good Internet rumor that this works.
