You don't have to be a non-believer to live in the real world.

No. Everyone lives in the real world, it's just some people try to imagine
it is somehow different to the way it actually is.

No, some people believe things which may exist and which you certainly
cannot disprove. Subtle difference.

Please stop the religious discussions, there has never yet been asny
incident of anyone convincing anyone else for or against religion on usenet.

I'm all for using AFDA for discussing whether DNA was atheist/agnostic
in certain parts of his life, whether he was raised as a catholic, what
exactly atheism means or indeed agnosticism, and such like.

But let's lay off the discussions about personal belief, and whether
anyone who believes one thing or the other or not at all is at fault
when doing so. It will only end badly, the froup has been down that road
before.

So, unless anyone here has a personal belief in The Coming Of The Great
White Handkerchief, which is one subject we can hardly call off topic, I
suggest we all settle down with a nice cup of tea.

Better yet, why don't you just ignore the things that don't interest or
somehow disturb you and let the rest of us think for ourselves? Seems more
workable than you running from post to post giving stage directions.

Dave, I'm not arguing - if you think you can prove the non-existence of God
that's your delusion. Kaare is right. Theology does not belong here.
There are plenty of places you can get heated up about it elsewhere, so look
there if you want a discussion about it.

Couple of reasons. Because I don't understand your overriding desire to
tell others what to do and I'm fascinated by your complete lack of ability
to recognize this flaw in yourself--I'm astounded that you actually feel
justified in the way your behave toward others and that you feel you're
acting in the best interest of everyone. Also, I hate having others tell me
what to do because they think they know better; bullies piss me off.

I'm not heated up nor am I attempting to disprove the existence of a god.
I'm just pointing out the glaring flaw in your reasoning. By the by, it

We don't think we know better. But the froup isn't a theological discussion

What failure of logic? Me telling you that the existence of God cannot be

What about discussing God's final message to his creation? Would this not
be an on-topic discussion that ventures into the theological or one that
could be reasonably expected to do so? Never say never.

And, if that sort of thing, in your opinion, doesn't belong here, then why
are you participating?

It's the un-freaking-censored Internet! Anything goes! Mr. Adams had
thoughts and opinions on religion. We all should! But if the "discussion"
gets personal and nasty then it's time to move on.
