Does anybody know if Eddie was played by the same actor in the movies,
as in the radio/TV series?....
He certainly sounded very similar, if not exactly the same....
If it's not the same guy, someone has gone to a lot of trouble to
acchieve the same voice....

Hmmm....Apparently it was a completely different guy....
David Tate in the TV series,
Thomas Lennon in the film....
I take my hat to him for his dedication to the role....He sounded just
like the original Eddie....

You know, I'd seen this Tom Lennon guy in the Jason Lee movie "A Guy Thing"
before and I didn't know how well he would do as Eddie, but he sounded a lot
like David Tate. I never thought whether Eddie should be British or American
but Eddie was always like a computerized Fozzie Bear, and that's how Tom
played him.

Very hard to say, since there were approximately ten seconds of him.

Now you're just trying too hard. Sad.

Sad? I think you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed.
It's true and you know it. I defy you to quote more than a few seconds of
Eddie's dialogue.

Yes, it is true. The minor character stayed a minor character. You're just
trying far too hard to get others to agree this movie wasn't up to snuff.
Frankly, I'm puzzled as to why. You didn't like it. Fine. Why do you have
to seek out others to share your displeasure and why are you attempting to
gather them in a single location? Seems like a huge waste of time and
effort. Just get on with your life. Let it go. Don't panic.

Nope - David Tate, the original Eddie, died some time ago. (Incidentally,
Eddie was played by a different actor, whose name escapes me, in the third
radio series - Tate played him, and indeed several other characters, only in
the first couple of radio series, as well as the TV version.)
HTH.
David.

David Brider; a full-length adventure, too broad and too deep for the small
screen.
This week I have been mostly reading: "Holiness" by J C Ryle.
"...God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us."

Not if he's collecting valid e-mail addresses so he can sell them to
spammers. That's one possible explanation for being so "on message" all
the time...
