CASTING CALL: Fit the Fourth [message #27583] Di, 03 Mai 2005 22:55
Kaare Fiedler Christi
Yay! We are almost done with Fit the Third.
The time seems to indicate eponential growth in time for the fits, so we
better get started early on fit the fourth!

Fit the fourth has some amazing characters in it!

Apart from Arthur, Zaphod, Ford, Trillian, Narrator/Guide and
Slartibartfast we have
Deep Thought
One, Two and Three (yes, Three! I didn't know either!) in the books
known as Lunkwill and Fook (before 7½ million years) and Loonquawl and
Phouchg (after 7½ million years)
Majikthise and Vroomfondel
Frankie and Benjy mouse
Shooty and Bang Bang
(plus a guest cast for P.A. VOICE)

Wauw this is wild! Most of my favourite characters are in this fit!
Except I don't think Marvin has a single line :-(

Okay, the roles are as follows:
Arthur: iain
Ford: Kaare
Trillian: Nikitta
Zaphod: -uhm- i forget... Speak, upo, Zaphod
Slartibartfast: Tian
Narrator: Gusty
Deep Thought:
One:
Two:
Three:
Majikthise:
Vroomfondle:
Benjy Mouse:
Frankie Mouse:
Shooty:
Bang Bang:
P.A. Voice:

Who wants to play?

As a relative newbie, could you explain this to me? I'm intrigued.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first broadcast of the radio
series we started our very own Froup production of the series. And yes,
it's taken us two years to do three Fits. But maybe if we speed up a bit
we can be finished in time for the 50th anniversary or some such occasion.

I surely would like to. Some distraction from all this movie talk
would also be welcome. Also I followed Fit the Third with great
amusement.

However, I am enough of a newbie so I have not the full overview over
the rules. Do we follow the book word for word, do we follow the book
by best memory or do we improvise?

I see Deep Thought is "unoccupied". I'd love to play "him".

By the way. Are we sure everyone are here? I seem to miss Nikitta -
also I vaguely seem to remember that she wanted to leave while
movie-talk was on and she had not seen the movie herself?

We tend to follow the radio scripts, but of course some improvisation is
welcomed. In fact, I'd prefer it if we have something more to add than
just typing out the lines from the book. Let's try to keep the style of
adding feelings and intonations to every line, and anything else we
might like.

Indeed, my favourite part of the froup production was back in Fit the
First, where everyone joined as customers in the bar to provide the
"background noice".

> I see Deep Thought is "unoccupied". I'd love to play "him".

So, it seem we have DEEP THOUGHT taken

Oh, damn, you are right.

Well, with the speed we're doing this, I hereby take it upon myself to
mail Nikitta for her lines, and forward her mails to the froup as they
come up!

Oh no, not the shoelace-tying trick. It's the oldest trick in the

Best not...I'm ex-Air Force, and as such, I'm an incredibly poor aim
with any form of firearm...I'd probably injure every innocent bystander,
while leaving Nemo unscathed....That's why I'm probably wuite well
suited to the role ;-)

Better than Biro pens....Less likely to lose a crayon than a biro

LOL, to be honest, I don't mind which, so long as I get to write novels
in crayon....
Does anybody actually know which one was Shooty and which was Bang
Bang?.....It seems like a bit of an Ant and/or Dec situation....

Sensible approach, Kåre - never wise to go up against a sicilian when
death is on the line. Even if Meth only plays a sicilian in the froup!

I'm intrigued that it can ever be a sensible approach to decalre oneself

Hey, you there: Build a statue of me , I'm your dictator!

I would be very happy to see a statue of myself in LEGO (especially, of
course, if it was a good status (i.e. one that didn't look too much like
me))

It has. You just don't know about the changes.

</conspiracy theorist>

But seriously, there have been two changes which I know about: my pic's been
uploaded and the e-mail which my afda birthday notes are being sent to has
changed.

And you didn't know about them, did you?!

And you don't care now that you do, so it's dandy.

As an aside- I disagree with your spelling of the 3rd word in the

"Resistance is Feudal"
