Hmm...I didn't think it was great, though I thought
Martin Freeman and Zooey Deschanel were great
throughout. I also loved Marvin, but for some reason
Zaphod and Ford just didn't do it for me.
Some funny bits in there, but a lot that weren't. I didn't
think it was total rubbish, but it certainly wasn't the film
it could have been.

Zaphod did not live up to expectations. The heads and the party scene
were really out, bad. Nice work on the guide that opens THE WRONG WAY
ROUND. The spine is the wrong way and DON'T PANIC is on the back!

Very well said. I agree with much of what you said.
But I disagree that it was foredoomed to failure. All they had to do was
(excuse the caps) NOT TAKE THE JOKES OUT! And, of course, casting that had
SOMETHING to do with the actual characters would have been nice.
