First the cast, especially Bakula, has to die...then there might be hope when
our hero from Farscape steps into the lead role.
Of course Farscape had the PERFECT actress to play a Vulcan as well.:)

In fact you could transplant the ENTIRE cast of Farscape to Enterprise and in
every case the show would be improved 1000%

Just for fun.
Put the Farscape cast into roles you think they could play on enterprise.

Actually, the cast from farscape is getting transplanted to stargate.
However, I think the cast from the smurfs is free. Star Trek:Smurf ....could
be a hit.

You do realize the cast transplant from FARSCAPE has already taken place,
and they landed on Stargate SG1 (the 'SG' stands for: STARGATE!!)?

I was reading a list in the newspaper of about the top 25 shows, a lot of
them being canceled or on the bubble, that people want to return next year.
Life on a Stick was on the list. Jack and Bobby was on the list .And
Enterprise was nowhere to be found, folks. That's right, ladies and
gentlemen, Life on a Stick is garnering more support to come back next
season than Enterprise is.

I did not know that.
Not a big fan of SG1, but I might take a peek now.

Claudia Black did one ep so far and there is talks of her doing another.

Ben Browder is supposed to be joining the cast of SG1 for an extended
period of time. I'm assuming her next appearance will be when he's a
member of the team.

Ah. Yeah, when the return from hiatus, Browder is coming in as the new head
of the team. It's unclear what Jack will be doing.

Right before they announced that, Claudia Black had done a one shot as an
alien kick ass cute chick (go figure) that I think is being rerun this week.

After Browder was in place, Amanda Tapping announced she was pregnant, so
they needed somebody to replace HER.

Hmm. Browder's in place, and Claudia just did a guest bit that could be
recurring . . . and yep, she agreed. So they'll both be in SG1 this summer.
Browder as an American military guy and Black as a leather clad kick ass
cute alien chick. Hard to imagine how the casting director ever pictured
them in those roles!

Oh, and as an added bonus, Andromeda herself, Lexa Doig, will be the new SG1
doctor.

Well, the only thing would be a time warp back five years when
they first had the idea to do this series. Someone really needed
to have slapped TPTB and make them see the folly in going
backwards instead of forwards.

The only thing that has always been interesting in science fiction
has been to always look forward and each of the ST series has
done just that -- except for Enterprise, which had the misguided
idea to look to the past. Big mistake. Boring.

They had to rush to incorporate many things that they knew would
not be commonplace for that time period:

-- warp drive above warp 5
-- tranporter technology for human as opposed to cargo use
-- replicator technology for food production

They could have gone beyond Voyager's time period or explored
the whole Section 13 for once. Or even tackled a series revolving
around young cadets at Starfleet Academy.

And as much as I personally have always liked Scott Bakula, I
never bought him as a Starfleet captain, I'm sorry. Completely
wrong for the part.

RIP Enterprise.

I think the idea of doing the back story for all Trek lore was a great idea.
If they had had a better writer in the beginning with an eye to continuity,
it could have worked. I was a little tired of the series in the 24th
century. TNG was the best by far for me. DS9 was ok, Voyager was ok, but
it just felt stale by the end of it all. The last season has bee great. It
is a shame we could not see more from Coto. Something no one else has
answered is, what now? No other station can take it? No other Trek in the
making? It's just very frustrating.

"Forward" doesn't work. Their society already was incomprehensible.
Going further into the future wouldn't have worked. And since they
were going to make the Prime Directive even more restrictive, that
meant that they couldn't deal with comprehensible societies.

Nonsense. They "had" to do no such thing. They didn't have warp
drive above 5 and didn't have replicator technology for food
production. As for transporter technology, they did it, but it was a
bad idea. It certainly wasn't necessary.

They wouldn't have had the nerve to chuck Roddenberry's legacy to that
extent.

It is beyond me why people keep proposing that. Just what is the
entertainment value involved in watching people go to class?

LOL!

I hadn't even thought of that. Good one!

It's just the opposite with me. I like SG1, but I *detested* Farscape,
so I'm hoping the change doesn't ruin SG1 for me.

For those of us who loved college, there's quite a bit of entertainment
value. For instance, one of my biggest complaints about "Gilmore Girls"
is that the Yale scenes spend *way* too much time on Rory's love life
and not nearly enough time on her academic life. I'd love to see some
"Paper Chase"-style classroom scenes.

It's certainly going to be very different, but whatever they do has to be
better than a pregnant Carter, or 6 months of Carter standing behind a
shrubbery.

LOL, well, there's a subtext I certainly missed. I thought Frasier was
dating Serena from Law & Order.

Your mind is in the wrong place. Maybe they could get Tiffany Amber
Thiessian to play the hot science officier. (Actually, I haven't seen her in
a while. Is she still hot? She was when I was in high school) Not to mention
that Zack is now out of a job with NYPD Blue done. This is the best idea for
Trek since pointed ears.
