The movie certainly could have been better. I liked the way they did
certain things (the vogon destruction fleet was good), and I liked Mos
Def as Ford, an interesting twist. The way by which the dolphins bid
farewell to Earth was less than pleasing, the way the Vogons looked was
less than pleasing, the ending for the film was less than pleasing. I
understand that it was done for those who hadn't read the book, and
would not understand that in this dimension Arthur and Trillian did not
work out. They are going to make a sequel, and hopefully it will fit
properly with the ideas of DNA. I find it sad that in his absence some
ass finished the screenplay, and tossed a lot of DNA's brilliance in
the garbage.
