new to me, but I just saw the BBC interview with the young lady who
will be Luna Lovegood. Was there ever a more perfect piece of casting
since Charles Laughton walked the planks as captain Bligh?
She is such a sweetie too.

The fact she dressed up as Harry, glasses and scar for the book
release is good enough for me. Wouldn't surprise me if she visited
Detroit and wore a Lion's head in support of the Detroit Lions.

Sadly, guys everywhere will suffer through it, like with Emma Watson.
Instead of complaining, like the one guy here about Bonnie Wright.

It's nothing a little makeup and accesorising can't fix.

It is ever stated (or implied through description, like with Hermione's
pre-GoF teeth) that Luna ISN'T pretty? Quirky and weird don't mean "ugly".

Hmm... has it been stated somewhere that Luna ain't pretty? I always
thought her main problem was that she was "strange". As far as I can
easily find, only definition on her looks is when we first see her and
she's being described as having "a permanently surprised look".
Of course, we haven't yet seen her in her movie outfit, so it's hard to
say how she'll end up looking.

Were she into American sports, her team would be the Cubs.
And she would look real cute in a bear costume too.
I had the impression from the books that Luna was very pretty, but so
spaced that the guys got weirded away. Pretty enough to cause
resentment among the other Ravenclaw girls anyway.

Officially Luna has protruding eyes, but I've seen an actress with
protruding eyes play a young girl who was supposed to be pretty
according to the role. So maybe a pretty actress can play a girl
with protruding eyes... It depends on the local definition.

Well, she will certainly be better than the first person they chose for
Luna. They concentrated too much on the protuberant eye aspect of the
character. I found a copy of the original screen test.

All description is she's blonde with big eyes and perhaps some weird
about what she considers to be accessories. Also, it seems like her
expression might make her look odd. But she worries about her looks:
wearing necklaces and earrings.
Whatsoever, when she dresses 'properly' she looks nice according to
Harry, and he likes pretty girls ^_^.
