I just stumbled across a lyrics quiz I did a while ago. I
wasn't planning on ressurecting it just to give the scores,
but then I discovered no-one had got two of the answers at
all! So here's the scores, and another chance for that two.
1a. I hope I'm old before I die.
"Old before I die", Robbie Williams
Full marks to DianeL, Ssirienna, Brian Wakeling, CCA
1b. I hope I die before I get old.
"My Generation", The Who
Full marks to DianeL, Ssirienna, CCA
2a. I forget your name.
"Song for Whoever", The Beautiful South
Full marks to Bruce Probst.
2b. Remember my name.
"Fame", Irene Cara/Kids From Fame
Full marks to DianeL, CCA
Half marks to Brian Wakeling
3a. Do you promise not to tell?
"Do You Want To Know A Secret", The Beatles
Full marks to DianeL, Ssirienna, CCA
3b. Let me tell you that I love you.
"Caledonia" Dougie Maclean
Full marks to Lister
4a. I wish today could be tomorrow.
"Days", The Kinks/Kirsty MacColl
Full marks to CCA
4b. I wish today was just like every other day.
Anyone? Cat? Carol? Adrian?
(There may be a clue in the sort of people I expect to know
it...)
5a. Never let me go.
It turns out there are far too many songs with that lyric, but
I really thought this was the obvious one...
SteveD gets a bonus point for coming up with *a* correct song.
5b. We will not let you go
"Bohemian Rhapsody", Queen
Full marks to DianeL, Ssirienna, Brian Wakeling, CCA
Final scores:
DianeL: 5
CCA: 5
Ssirenna: 4
Brian Wakeling: 2.5
Bruce Probst: 1
Lister: 1
