There are only one type of star trek episode I WILL NOT WATCH, and thats
anything with Luxwana Troi in it. God they were ridiculous shows. Naked
weddings, hounding Picrd, etc ... I couldn't stand it.

I loved her. She's my fav character that Majel played. Sort of an
Auntie Mame type. :)

I thought she was absolutely wonderful in the suicide at 50 episode, the
one with Charles Emerson Winchester III?? (Been years since I saw it,
going blank on the actor's name and the title)--I do remember it had
me in tears at the ending though.

She actually is one of the more interesting and colorful Trek
characters. Sort of a female Harry Mudd.

What?
Harry was a con man!
Lwaxana was a warm, kind and loving character.
Do you remember the episode where she held Odo together?

When I said she was like Harry Mudd, I meant only that she (like Mudd)
is one of Trekdom's more colorful characters. I guess that wasn't clear.

Um... ::shifty eyes::

No Kill I. I don't believe I ever saw that one.

Ah, okay.

Err... TPM...
You just quoted mama Horta?
No, we won't kill you for that. ;-)

I think it was in 'The Forsaken'

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708624/

If I remember correctly Odo and Lwaxana got stuck in a turbolift and being
trapped there he was unable to get back to his bucket on time (you know he
had to return to liquid form every sixteen hours).
When time was up she graciously offered her lap to him to rest. That was
such a nice gesture!

Here's some more info on that:

Well, it was kind of her lap or Odo being fried, since there was some sort
of current running through the turboshaft that'd kill him if he, erm,
liquified. <g>

Even better!
And before that she made him feel more comfortable by taking off her wig. So
he wouldn't feel embarrassed liquefying in front of her.

I concur... I pass on any ep with her or any ep that deals with the
klingons, including warf's woe-is-me's of being a klingon, etc

I just got through season 4 and that seemed to be a low point (thus far,
haven't watched S5,6,7) of the series.

I agree. I thought that was an excellent episode.

I was never a big fan of Luxwana Troi but in that episode she showed
that under all that bluster and BS there was a good person with some
real character.
