Dame Judi Dench dresses up as a lobster [message #298224] Do, 06 Juli 2006 19:06

For those UK'ers around, FILM FOUR goes live on freeview later this
month - they're scrapped the subscription and going commerical based
FTA.

Has anyone seen the advertising campaign?

It features the likes of Christian Slater, Lucy Liu, Ewen McGregor,
Willem Defoe and...

Dame Judi Dench dressed in an 8 foot lobster costume singing?

Saw her give a stunning performance in 'All's Well that Ends Well' on
stage a couple of years ago. Sadly, I think the singing lobster may
end up being my more enduring memory...

Great news about FilmFour all the same. Thanks, James.

Except Film Four will likely as not break films up with commercials now.

Hey, even arty-farty theatre shows let you go to the loo after an hour!

Much as I may love Kurosawa, unlike Hitchcock he had a very singular
conception of the endurance of the human bladder...

Uninterrupted was one of several reasons why I subscribed to Film Four.

I feel like that when I read one of WQ's posts.

I guess that's what the experts mean when they talk about "distorted."

LOL!

Wasn't me that started the tradition, old man. Kick back and enjoy a large
one. And a drink too.

Well, I've missed a lot, but I thought the commercial looked pretty
funny. It's always good to see serious film stars deflate their own
egos for a few laughs.

Lee Edward McIlmoyle,
does enjoy a good laugh,
as long as it's not during the serious parts
(and is probably adding lines to his sig to compensate for the length
>and girth< of the sigs he has had to endure in this thread)
