Hmmm, I'd like to see some unknows to play, but if you're going to put knows
commodities in
Spock: Adrien Brody, perhaps? He kind of reminds me of Nimoy at that age
(physically), plus having a best acting oscar that far up in the cast list
gives the movie cred.
McCoy: Speaking of Vaughn, hows about putting one of the Wilson brothers in.
Both are southern, so it make a great match for McCoy. Owen being a blonde
might be a problem, so Luke would be a good choice.
Scotty: Colin Ferrell. Hey, and he'd have an authentic Irish/Scottish
accent.
Uhura: Yeah, put Barry in there. Provided Brody can keep his DAMN HANDS off
here this time.

If this even has a chance in hell you HAVE to go with unknowns. The idea
itself is already setting itself up for failure. The demands and
expectations will be so high in recasting TOS and hollywood just isn't that
concerned (in an artistic sense).

or Spock gets to them!
