Well, Krayt supposedly founded his New Sith Order about 30 ABY or so,
didn't he? In Betrayal, Jacen plans on finding a new Sith Apprentice
for himself. What if Krayt was a Force-sensitive youth, who came across
Korriban, and a Sith Holocron. He likes what it says, and feels that he
could use it to unify the galaxy. He founds his new Sith Order.
However, he's untrained in Force use.Jacen eventually finds him and
takes him as his apprentice, teaching him how to use the Force, and
maybe also adopting Krayt's scrapping of the Rule of Two.

ABY 36, after he sees a hologram that pushes him over the edge.
