There is a review of the new DVDs in the latest issue of DVD Review.
They say the remastered sound and video is stunning and that the Bond
films have never looked better since they were first released in the
cinema.
I was holding on for a HD release when the HD format war sorted itself
out, I'm seriously reconsidering that decision now, having read the
review.

Is the review up on the Net?

That's as bad as putting a secret agent in a gorilla suit.”

Not that I can see. As far as I know they haven't even got a website.
www.dvdreview.co.uk just redirects you to a subscriptions site.

They really ARE good!
I spoke with one of the ppl responsible for the mastering, and strictly
off the record, said that these Standard Definition DVDs playing on a
1080i TV (upconverted) will look no different to the naked eye than a
1080p HDDVD/BluRay (interlaced).
So I wouldn't worry about saving our money for HD, unless you already
have splashed out super amounts of $$$ on a 1080p TV.

That's similar to what they said in the review. That they were virtually
HD quality.

Good enough for me, only got a 1080i TV anyway, so looks like I'll be
getting them after all.
Wonder if I'd be better selling the originals on eBay as a complete set
or individually?
