Favorite TAS episode poll [message #22589] So, 01 Mai 2005 16:36
sailormoon
This is the poll for the animated Star Trek series (TAS).

Because there are only 6 episodes in Season 2, I'm not going to do
separate polls for each season, just a poll for the entire series.

Here's how it works. You assign a grade of 1 to 10 for each episode.
When I conclude the poll (probably in a month or two), I'll average
the grades and post the results in descending order.

01 Beyond the Farthest Star
02 Yesteryear
03 One of Our Planets is Missing
04 The Lorelei Signal
05 More Tribbles, More Troubles
06 The Survivor
07 The Infinite Vulcan
08 The Magicks of Megas-Tu
09 Once Upon a Planet
10 Mudd's Passion
11 The Terratin Incident
12 The Time Trap
13 The Ambergris Element
14 The Slaver Weapon
15 The Eye of the Beholder
16 The Jihad
17 The Pirates of Orion
18 Bem
19 The Practical Joker
20 Albatross
21 How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth?
22 The Counter-Clock Incident

I'm afraid I haven't seen enough eps to make a judgement; are they
still available for viewing?

No idea. Are they coming out on DVD?

I already own a complete, boxed set of TAS in digital form, authorized by
Paramount.

On Laserdisc.

I have a fair number of music videos in this format. I love the reactions I
get when I'm throwing a party, and I pull out something that is the size of
a record album but looks like a DVD. Lots of "wazzat?" questions. Very
retro-futuristic, perfect for Trek.

Me too. And it looks like TAS has been pushed back to 2006. Ironically,
that's all the TREK product Paramount will have for the 40th anniversary:

Wow, how sad. Though I'll bet they rush to get seasons three and four of
Enterprise out on DVD next year, to capitalize on the publicity. Just a
guess.

I'd definately spring for season four of Enterprise on DVD - which says a
lot about how much the show improved under Coto.

I bet we'd pay extra if it did NOT include the appalling finale! ;-)

The one we haven't even seen yet? You may rely on what passes through
Jolene Blalock's freakishly enormous lips as gospel truth, but as for me I
wish she'd eat a few Happy Meals and STFU. She was never a fan of the show
prior to being cast, and she's bashing the best thing that ever happened to
her otherwise weak-ass career as an actress. She's about as much an expert
on what makes good Trek (or sci-fi or action-adventure television) as any
other random actor that's about to be unemployed.

She obviously knew more than B&B. Hell, she had to fight to get them to
point her damned eyebrows.

Well, that's damning by faint praise.

For some reason I recall someone announcing they're at the bottom of the
DVD list.

Do they stil make those? I remember seeing them briefly in the late 1970's.
