This is a real picture from a San Diego newspaper. A whale at Shamu
died while coming back to the ground.

And a dead whale wouldn't float anywhere near that high.

Must be the one Moe and the boys had to get rid of in the X Files episode...
P.S - never try to sneak a fake photo into rec.photo.digital. Those guys can
smell a Photoshopped image from 10 miles away!

In the Freddie Quimby episode. Homer was contemplating being part of
the sequestered jury. Stuck overnight int he hotel.

The dead one in the fake photo is supposed to be the one in back, not the
one in front--the one sitting on the ground rather than in the water. I
think that the idea is supposed to be that it lept up, and landed on the
ground rather than back in the water, and died.

Helen is a 'netcop' on rec.photo.digital. I doubt she's even heard of The
Simpsons, but I suspect she looks a bit like 'Mad Cat Woman'...

Then the one in the water is "dead" still; no ripples, no wavelets
lapping on it, nothing.
The 'photo' sure looks fake.

The Simpson's planet has been eclipsed by the South Park planet and the
Family Guy planet.

I know where this conversation is headed! Well, according to
http://www.snpp.com/episodes/1F19.html:
Homer: What does "sequestered" mean?
Skinner: If the jury is deadlocked they're put up in a hotel together
so they can't communicate with the outside world.
Homer: What does "deadlocked" mean?
Skinner: It's when the jury can't agree on a verdict.
Homer: Uh huh. And "if"?
Skinner: A conjunction meaning "in the event that" or "on condition
that".
Homer: So _if_ we don't all vote the same way, we'll be _deadlocked_
and have to be _sequestered_ in the Springfield Palace Hotel
--
Patty: That's not going to happen, Homer.
Jasper: Let's vote. My liver is failing.
Homer: -- where we'll get a free room, free food, free swimming
pool,
free HBO -- Ooh! "Free Willy"!
Skinner: Justice is not a frivolous thing, Simpson. It has little if
anything to do with a disobedient whale. Now let's vote!
Homer: Uh, how are the rest of you voting?
Everyone: Guilty.
Homer: OK, fine. How many S's in "innocent"?
Everyone: Aw.
Homer: I'm only doing what I think is right. I believe Freddy
Quimby
should walk out of here a free hotel.

It would have been more fun to go line by line, back and forth, but I
didn't have the patience.
This guy spelled "picture" incorrectly, adding his name to the list of
troll misspellings that has gotten too long to remember. When will the
misspellings enf? The list is so long, they could make a TV show about
it. Which we could all watch on our remore controlled TVs. The show
would be on right after Opera. Opera Winfrey. Can you picure it?
