Newly discovered behind-the-scenes footage from the set of MOONRAKER:
======================================================
"James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of a super
villain whose space station employs an artificial gravity mechanism
which gets the basic laws of physics completely wrong."
[blank stare]
"Oops. Sorry, that was a self-referential remark wasn't it?"
"Yes, those are to be avoided as they break the fourth wall for the
audience."
"Are the cameras still rolling?"
"Yes, looks like Gilbert wants to proceed with his standard recovery
plan for such an occurance."
"You mean quickly insert some bathroom humor to distract the audience
and make them forget the inconsistency?"
"Yes."
"Alright. Looks like he is holding up three fingers. That's
signaling a fart joke, right?"
"No, two fingers would be a fart joke. Three fingers is calling for a
groin injury joke." [kicks Lonsdale in the groin]
"Oh, my balls!"
[off camera] "Cut! Alright, good work. That's a wrap, people."

Mike
"What do you want me to bring you from Holland, Moneypenny?"
"A diamond? In a ring?"
"Would you settle for a copy of 'How to Make $300 Million in Four
Years' by Heather Mills?"

LOL!
Further proof, along with the blooper reel at the end of the MR DVD
doc, that it was probably a lot more fun making that movie than
watching it ;-)
Best
Phil
(Actually starting to enjoy MR more as the years go by - incipient
senility, no doubt...)

LOL! OK,that was really funny! I almost never laugh at that kind of
thing but it's so easy to imagine a conversation just about like that
actually taking place on a Gilbert-directed Bond film!
