Do I not remember reading over a year ago an interview with Cleese in
which he mentioned that there was no Q role in the next film? Seemed
to me at the time that he was pretty much fine with everything, other
than being disappointed at not being Q.

>From what I understand, Cleese wasn't contacted by the producers about
not appearing in Casino Royale. He found out as a result of discovering
Q wasn't in the CR screenplay, and based on his comment about not being
telelphoned, I assume the producers never told him he wasn't coming
back. I guess that's why he's critical. He expected them to tell him
(which seems a reasonable request).
