thanks for the comments, guys. i now own it. i gave it a cursory
listen today, while i ripped it to my computer at work. i heard lots of
familiar stuff, probably off of "mystery disc" and "the lost episodes",
along with stuff i'd never heard before and some new
arrangements.overall, this set appears to be in pristine condition. i
do have some questions about the packaging, however.
1. included is a heavy, glossy paper sheet, measuring 3 1/4" x 9 3/8",
with the track listings on it. next to the listing for "son of st.
alfonso", someone has hand written "scat by john belushi". my question
is, was this handwritten note original from the printer, or was it the
work of the previous owner?
2. at the bottom of the same piece of paper, there is a somewhat
official looking stamp, in red ink. all i can make out on it is the
word "roma". i believe that i had heard that this set was produced in
italy, and the discs are indeed inscribed "made in italy".so, was this
stamp done for tax or export purposes?
3. in the booklet itself, on the 1st page for the track listings for
disc 2, next to "t'mershi duween" is the hand written note, in blue
ink, "10/1/75 vancouver b.c". again, is this the factory or the
previous owner?
4. on the following page, under "down in the dew", in black ink, is the
inscription, "does not appear on this disc!". this is obviously a
mis-identification of "the purple lagoon". same question as above.
thanks again for any help!

Hi,
maybe there are different versions available?
My copy has no additions in the booklet as you mentioned.
But I have an extra insert piece of paper about half of the size of one
page of the booklet. It contains the tracklist again.
Here is a stamp and the time information for disk 4 The Jelly (4:58) was
striked through with the same red color as the stamp. The Jelly in the
booklet has the time information 2:10.
Down in the dew was called Duck Duck Goose in both appearences.

More likely the previous owner.

Ditto.

The mid-identification would lie in confusing "Down in de Dew" and "Duck
Duck Goose". The latter is listed in the booklet and on the little
insert track list, but isn't on the cd. "Down in de Dew" and the SNL
version of "The Purple Lagoon" *are* both on the disc.

Both tracks are listed, but "Down in de Dew" is the only one of the two
that's actually on the disc. At least on my copy.
