It is stated in HBP that seven is the most magically powerful number.

Guess which number is the most evil?

Hint: It is equal to the number of Horcruxes.

Regards,
John

Some fans speculate that the 7th book will be out on 7/7/7

What's wrong with six? Six is a perfect number. And Voldemort would
have gone nuts (not to mention more people would have lost their lives)
had he tried to create 28 horcruxes, let alone 496. So we should be
happy with six.

On the other hand, 28 is doubly sevendable.

Tradtioanlly, any number before a good number is bad. 777 is the
luckiest ever. 666 becomes the unluckiest ever. That's the reason
it's chosen for the Beast.

That is one of two possible reasons. The other reason notes that
Solomon's annual income (I suppose from taxes and such) was 666 talents
of gold; so the possibility may be that the Beast is, or is associated
with, extreme materialism.

John

In some traditions, yes. In other traditions, not so. In any event,
six was/is considered magically good by some cultures; I think the
ancient Greeks counted it so. Shouldn't the most evil number be one
that is universally loathed (or at least not revered in any societies)?

Anyway, silly thread--fun stuff.

Hagrid? He would try and make the Beats his latest pet. ""Arry, come
'ere. Look, it's the Bibical Beast. I call him Baby Cuddles."
