| If you're a Star Wars collector and fed up with Ebay........... [message #279645] |

Not long ago I finally gave up on Ebay as a venue for buying and
selling for my collection. Their fee increases were forcing up prices
for those who were shopping there and making it harder for the fan
who was looking to offer a few items to not go broke doing so.
I've found an alternate site online which is much better suited for the
needs of fans and collectors who wish to dabble with selling off some
of their collections as a sideline ( like Ebay used to be long ago ---
before they forgot about those of us who helped build them up in
early days ). This site is OnlineAuction and for a flat $8 monthly fee
you can list all the items you wish ( no per item listing fees ), you
don't get hit with any fees after the sale if your item is sold and you
can set your listings up to automatically relist if it ends without a
buyer. They provide free picture hosting for your items too. Also,
you can put links to your own website or online shops in your item
descriptions (something Ebay would never allow). All in all, for both
the collector looking to shop as well as someone looking to find new
homes for a few things in their collection, it's worth looking into.
I've been posting there for awhile and have found it to be a welcome
change from the routine at Ebay. To see the OA site you can use
the following link:

It's worth checking out. Have a great day.

Just another spam artist. Don't even waste your time visiting their
link. :-(

And that would be exactly the purpose of the post -- attempting to get
others to participate. The site is growing as more people get fed up
with Ebay's fees and their arbitrary policy changes, but it's simply
going
to take time. OnlineAuction is growing, but Ebay has a ten year run
under its belt already.
