Craig's face was in deep shadow. I mention this because I read this
comment on another site...
"They hid their star's face whenever they put up a poster of him."
.... and it's true.

It's almost as if Sony don't want to show the world there's a new Bond
actor. Just a thought.

same picture in better quality (you can clearly see, that
James Bond isn't played by Brosnan anymore).
I like the dark picture very much - it catches
the mood for a mysterious and darker James Bond.
If Sony didn't want to show a new Bond actor, why
did they bother to add his face on the artwork anyway?

I can't recall Pierce Brosnan or Timothy Dalton's first Bond film
teaser posters showing their faces in dark shadow. Make of that what
you will.

Because Moo Moo isn't very bright.

Because there was really no break between AVTAK and TLD, Dalton was
much more of a continuation of the series than Brosnan who, after a
six-year hiatus, was seen as a major redeployment of the franchise.
The GE teaser was, if you recall, in fact just an eye as viewed looking
down the sight of a PPK. There was no mention of Brosnan and while I
wouldn't say they were obscuring his features, they were certainly
working the "mystery" angle as they had initially done with Lazenby.
I don't know that EON is playing-up Craig all that differently than
they have other new Bonds historically

Pretty cool that Bond got the pre-eminent marketing position on the wall.
And I think the poster harkens a tough gritty Bond, and a tough gritty film.
Well done.
