I came across literature-map.com while trying to find references to a
completely different author, and worked my way back to Tolkien. I must say
I'm impressed and intrigued by the concept, but staggered not to find CS
Lewis in closer proximity to the good professor.

Aye, but isn't the map based on what other authors are read
by Tolkien readers?

Sure, but is it really concievable that of Tolkien's readers, more have read
Neal Stephenson than CS Lewis? Stephenson's good, but not _that_ well
known - and an extremely different genre. (LOL. I have to suspect someone
else had the same thought, as I went to the literature-map start page and see
that "Neal Stephenson" was one of the "most recent searches"!)

But which did they list on the survey form? They probably read
Lewis in their childhood and not so much lately.
