The X Men ad featuring Bart shooting spitballs was pretty good.
"Hunch" is a spoof of "Monk", a show about an obsessive compulsive
private detective. The show had the following credits at the end:
Hunch - Tony Huncharella
Written by JD Salinger
Gloria Huncharella - Gwyneth Paltrow
City of New York - City of Lethbridge, Alberta
Bystander #2 - Sir Anthony Hopkins
Furious Bowler - The Late George C Scott "OW!! MY GROIN!!"
Guy Who Turns out to be the Other Guy - Heidi Klum
"To the band wagon." - "To the Batmobile."
Abe played baseball in the women's league during WWII, as did Jasper.
The Springfield Floosies.
The Springfield Isotopes are in the Tornado Belt League. Another
useless clue as to where Springfield is.
"I concur", that overused malapropism "I conquer", is used again.
The song from that movie about the Goodfellas was used in tonight's
episode.
Jill and Kelly were Lenny and Carl's old girlfriends. Jill died, Kelly
became a prostitute.
How did Buck know who the Simpsons were, and where they lived?
The baseballs pour out of the bag similar to the way the puzzle pieces
poured out of the box in the "Ribwitch" episode.
The managers mother was kidnapped. This really happened. A pro
baseball player from Central or South America had his a family member
kidnapped and held for ransom.
It succeeds on so many levels.

Presumably the same way Mel Gibson did, I guess...

A little bit of pointless trivia that has nothing to do with The Simpsons:
The actor who plays Adrian Monk graduated from the same high school as my
older brother: Green Bay East High.

So, uh, Xino, I assume that you will also graduate from East High
someday. What high schools in GB did the following people graduate
from? I only know two of the answers.
Jimmy Crowley (The Four Horsemen of Notre Dame, later coached Vince
Lombardi at Fordham University)
Ron Vanderkelen (Played for the Minnesota Vikings)
Jerry Tagge (Played for the University of Nebraska and the Packers)

My guesses, according to lazy Google searching, are:
> Jimmy Crowley East
> Ron Vanderkelen Preble
I didn't find Jerry Tagge.

No chance, I've never attended a public school in my entire life. They
cut all my favorite stuff: first aid, books, Science, Music and Art. They
cannot afford Milk so they serve Malk. When the budget is too tight for
Malk they serve rat milk. They only use books that are banned by other
schools. If I have kids, they will NOT need to learn about Tekwar.
I love my brother but he's fat, stupid, works (occasionally) in a
restaurant, is 28 and just moved back home.

Do the Periodic Tables at your school have the whatever the hell they
are called? I cannot remember the name, and last time I tried to use
this joke I got flamed for misspelling that particular word.

Of course in Britain, Public schools are actually fee-paying private
ones. :)

If you are referring to lanthanides and actinides, YES my school has
them. My table does NOT have Bolognium (sp).
Was there a joke in the series about the lanthanide and actinide series? I
remember the one in the college episode. Was there another joke that took
place at Springfield Elementary?

Lisa visited a private school and was amazed at how good their Science
lab was. She and Skinner looked at the Periodic Table and Lisa said:
"It even has lanthanides and actinides." I think this was the episode
where Bart became involved with Wolfcastle's daughter.
Also, in the episode where Homer goes to college,
http://www.snpp.com/episodes/1F02.html:
The three nerds try to help Homer study, but he won't put any effort
into it.
Nerd 1: Come on, Mr. Simpson, you'll never pass this course if you
don't
know the periodic table.
Homer: Ehh, I'll write it on my hand.
Nerd 1: Ho! Including all known lanthanides and actinides? Ha, ha!
Good luck.
