Hi everybody
For you that know me my bond website www.freebondnews.com is on a
mission to be in the top ten for "James Bond". I am one step further to
my goal. My website is now crawled by various news soruces which via
rss feeds display 007 and movie content across the world wide web.

I hate to be a critic, but your website needs better design and content
to be truly considered among the top ten Bond sites. MI6 and Commander
Bond.net are both excellent, well-designed and written sources of 007
news. I see no way for your site, in its current form and content, to
replace those.

I don't doubt your sincerity, but work on the look of the site a bit more.
The four photos on the home page are 'stretched to fit', and I'm afraid that
always looks a little naff.

But good luck with your site!

Yeah, sorry, man -- I feel the same way. I mean you no disrespect, as
you're obviously a devout fan who's having fun with what you're doing (and
more power to you for it), but the design of the site is...well...hard to
follow and awkwardly laid out, with content that is just average. (No
offense intended...just constructive criticism.)

Hi - Well perhaps my site is not superb in your eyes. Thankyou for your
constructive criticsim it has been helpful. I would just like to add
that I was only 17 when I started it and it is my first attempt at a
website.

Don't give up, keep learning and do your best.

Like the line in the film Field Of Dreams...."if you build it they will
come".

Dear Shadow. Thankyou for your advice and rest assured I am not giving
up. After all my first website, little over six months, I think I have
achieved a lot.

I was yet a virgin when I was seventeen, so good on 'ya.

Keep working, keep improving. You've done well so far.

Tom Zielinski
"...Bond's eyes narrowed. He knew, at some point, he would have to slay this
particular dragon. He settled back in his chair, removing a Morlands' three
ring special from the gunmetal cigarette case. As he waited for the
delicious Balkan/Turkish blend to take effect on his lungs, he reflected
that being a virgin is not all it's cracked up to be..."

I'm not a web designer, so I can't offer many specific tips, other than
keep it clean and simple--the main page is way too cluttered, for
instance. There are books on how to design for the web.

But content wise, you should consider what goes on the site. If it's
truly Bond-related news, you have an uphill battle as there are two
excellent sites that deliver Bond news (MI6 and Commander Bond.net). I
don't think you want to go head-to-head with those sites. You need to
offer something a bit different. What that is, you have to decide. Fan
reviews and essays? (I have a brief <a
href=" http://filmfanaticoasis.blogspot.com/2005/12/007-reflections -in-goldeneye.html"
essay</a> I'd be willing to let you use, for instance.) It's tough,
given that there are so many 007 websites out there. But I do appreciate
your efforts and good luck to you.

Let my start off by saying that I don't like your website.

BUT that is my opinion.

In terms of your goal to being in the top 10 "Jams Bond" sites I don't
see that being a problem.
The appearance, as important as it may seem is really insignificant,
even though it can't hurt, it won't do much good.

What you have here is an information site, and the key elemt hsould be
the information.. lots and lots of information.
My suggestion is that you focus your energy to proper SEO techniques.
Use relevant keywords, add ALT tags to all your images and text links.
Expand you descriptions as much as possible and submit to as many meta
search engines you can find.

A good tool to help your cause is a forum. This will do wonders for
your content growth as well as return visits, but be carefull not to
integrate a comunity untill you have some sort of return traffic that
will use it.

If you'd email me, I'd be happy to help you out. I've done several websites
for actors and I'm currently in the process of working with one of the
Bondgirls on her website.
