There's a battle occurring outside my front door, between the vinca minor and
the buttercups. The buttercups look like they're gaining a beachhead, but
they're all brass, and after some summer heat, the vinca minor percussion
section will prevail. Cleetus Awreetus Awrightus, the hyacinth, appeared at the
border long enough to introduce the contestants, then disappeared, as always.
And it'll happen all over again next year.
