I attended ZPZ in Milan yesterday night. Awesome show. Napoleon Murphy Brock
at his best and Steve Vai, wow, such a showman. But Sir Dweezil... He didn't
sing - yet during all the show he kept staring at the audience looking as if
he was the King of Showbiz, gifted directly from God himself in Person.
Maybe a virtuoso at the guitar, this guy has no passion, no stage presence,
no talent, and most of all, considering that he's Franks' son, not a trace
of sense of humour. This guy is full of shit. Still, I'm grateful for him
putting together such an incredible band.
Btw, the concert was filmed, looking forward to download it on p2p ;-)

If there's one thing I can't stand it's a virtuoso with no talent.

Boo-Fucking-Hoo!
Maybe if he twirled around and some smoke bombs went off
you'd feel differently. I'm going to see the show in Philly.
Maybe I'll hear some MUSIC.

Amen to that. I like what Dweezil has done in producing some of the
albums from the vault, but he has always shown himself to be more of a
hired gun than an inspired artist.
In fairness, you can't name one child of a genius musician that has
lived up to the promise of their brilliant parent. Even Ziggy Marley
has never been as good as Bob.
I do give him credit for getting Nappy, Stevie, and Terry Ted involved.

Well, I may have to take this back. I just remembered that Hank
Williams Jr. lived up to his father's talent, but he's the exception
that proves the rule.

He also spent a lot of time and effort transcending the legacy. Not
an easy thing to do.
