Ok, as you know I've posted about C.S. Lewis. Well, out of curiosity I
called a rare book seller in NY. A first edition of The Lion, The Witch and
The Wardrobe (rebound) went for $2600. I was so shocked. I didn't think it
was that much! Cool though. It's got me thinking, I wonder how much Harry
Potter first editions will go for in the future. hmm...

According to the BBC, a signed first edition of Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire was sold for =A327,500 at an auction in 2003.

Just to stay OT (but a new OT), I just had a great idea! I'm going to
sell keyrings with Saint Zita on them!

wouldn't you then have to give your keys to those with a crapper car
than you have?

Wow! Too bad mine's not signed! I guess I'm wondering what an unsigned
first ed. would go for down the line.... Damn, maybe I should turn into a
stalker ;) Tell her I'll stop if she signs all my books? ;) lol

The value of first editions are inversely proportional to the number
still in circulation, and are directly proportional to the condition of
the original.

Thanks John. Yesterday I bought myself a copy of Louisa May Alcott's Little
Women from 1889. I'm excited!
