Is their a Desktop dragon program> That has a dragon that runs around
like the older program called Catz?
I've done some Googles but the only things I found aren't active anymore.

Well, Catz is part of later games called Petz. The company that made
it, PF Magic, was bought by Ubisoft, series went downhill (still
released up to Petz 5). There's an active modding/hacking community that
creates new breeds, including a few poorly done (last time I checked)
dragon breeds. Could be decent by now, though.
Not quite what you want, but it's info. :P

Last I checked, the Petz community was pretty dead. I tried entering
some of mine in several different shows, but they were all outdated,
and though I've seen a lot of strange hexbreeds, I've never seen a
dragon. I don't think wings would be possible. It would be fun to
have a game like that, though. It wouldn't have to be as complex as
Petz, even.

It's still alive. My ex runs a fairly active fan site, and there are
other, bigger sites still running. I guess you have to find the right
ones? I quit playing a while ago, so I don't have any more info than
that without extensively searching.

It is possible, and it has been done. Back when I played, I had a
dragon breed. Like I said, it didn't look good, but I think much better
would have been possible.
