Really, the Liberal writers come up with stupid plotlines that would
never happen in real life like "Whacking Day" in order to justify their
preaching and by having Lisa Simpson save the day on every episode.
Really, the day when there is an actual "Whacking Day" going on, then
I'll share Lisa's concern. Until then I am just going to assume the
Simpsons writing staff consists of nothing but paranoid liberals.

And you're probably a paranoid neoconservative. Why would I think so?
Well, you obviously don't understand satire or probably don't *want* to
understand it (or did you really think the makers of The Simpsons want
us to believe that there is some kind of whacking day?), and someone who
doesn't share your meaning is a liberal. Classic point in case.
Am I a liberal? Hell no, I'm European ;)

They make things up in order to promote an agenda.
Let's try some apolitical humor for once. Everything's so politicized
these days.
Be funny just for the sake of being funny. Don't try to change the
world with your comedy; it's not working anyway.

Oh, I agree with you on that last point. But I like political humour
though.
You shouldn't take it so seriously anyway. Just that there may be a
political message in it, doesn't make it some kind of propaganda.

Go back to the SCTV group and talk about how your life revolves around that
show, how TV isnt cheesy enough nowadays, and about how you have a crush on
Catherine O'Hara.
BTW, the plot of Whacking Day is based on the traditions of numerous small
American towns to have a festival to celebrate the beating of a species of
animal. Here in Pennsylvania a town called Higgens has a day each year
devoted to killing pigeons. I believe there actually is a Snake killing day
in Texas as well.

There wasn't a message that needed to be told. And a comedy show that is
supposed to have universal appeal should not be hijacked as a vehicle for a
writer's personal opinion. It should be entertainment. Go start a blog if
you want your view heard.

Yeah but don't forget that the writers sort of excused the "stupidity" by
having Kent state that the holiday was called distasteful and puerile by a
panel of hillbillies. Not exactly flattering words.

Besides it doesn't really matter if hillbillies know the word, the point is
that the WRITERS know it and chose to use it in order to make THEIR point.

Not at all, Your Blind Stupidity, all it means is that the show didn't
conform to your rightwingnut view of the universe, thus, making it "left
wing" to your way of thinking; but that doesn't make something "left
wing" in real life.

All right, I challenge you this: Find one right-winger that you know
and ask them if they like Lisa's preachiness and vegetarianism.
Since you are claiming that the show isn't left-wing, it's just that
I'm supposedly deluded somehow, right-wingers everywhere (with the
exception of me, of course) ought to love the Lisa character and think
that she's just peachy.
According to your point of view, that is.

If you're a brainwashed neocon, the writers are obviously liberal leftists.
If you're a far-left wacko, the writers are blatantly staunch right-wing
conservatives.
When you express opinions, you're expressing yourself. You aren't actually
saying anything about the subject. But I have to agree with your point that
