| Pre-credit (Spoilers) [message #256911] |

I have read conflicting reports that the pursuit of the free runner through
the construction site will feature in the pre-credit, but I was given to
understand that the pre-credit would feature the two "00" assassinations
leading into the title sequence featuring Bond's CV.
I hope the desire to have a big action scene up front hasn't made them
consider another lengthy pre-credit like THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH; I thought
that one should have ended with Bond crossing the bridge with the case full
of money and I believe CASINO ROYALE's should end with the B&W sequences.
Much cooler IMO.

--- EON may be getting cold feet about having the gunbarrel sequence
take place in a men's toilet - as I said, a bit tacky. They may be
listening to me.

--- Admittedly, I like the idea of the B&W scenes and what I saw on the
latest teaser did impress me, quite film noirish. At this point, I
think I probably would prefer CR to be completely in B&W, it'd probably
be more interesting as a result and make Craig look better in it - not
as blond looking.

Turn the color off on your monitor. Then turn off the picture and the
sound. Then go away.

LOL! I'm wondering if the amount of people still listening to him could be
counted on Tee Hee's fingers...

--- My take on what you bring up is that maybe EON is having doubts
about using a toilet gunbarrel intro. Sure, the toilet scene will
still be in the film, but maybe not to lead into the gunbarrel
sequence. Maybe they're thinking, as they very well should be, of
another and more clever way of introducing the gunbarrel shot.

--- The supposed original "00" assasinations would lead into the toilet
scene gunbarrel sequenece. That's the tacky part. Maybe they're
thinking of another better way to into the gunbarrel sequence and the
free runner chase could be it. That's what I was referring to.

1) The teaser has already been denounced as unofficial.
2) Calm down, for crying out loud. It's just a discussion.

I'm willing to bet they're not. It's not tacky. Certainly not as
tacky as Sean Connery embarrassingly landing on the crapper
in the faithful my arse DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. I was postulating
that they may be looking to up the action quotient in the
pre-credit because it's become de rigueur rather than returning
to the minimalist approach of the early films.
