I have it on good authority that the CR tune will be <drumroll>
"I've got a lov-ely bunch of coconuts" sung by Keith Richards.
Of course, this info came from the CIA, so it is subject to dispute.

I have heard that Keith will sing it in Spanish, which has put him
on the CIA hit list. You don't honestly think Keith *fell* from that

Beyond Craig and Brosnan appearing in bathrooms, I just remembrered
these:
--Roger Moore kills a snake in a bathroom in LALD. Very un-Bondian.
--Timothy Dalton inspects a cello case in a public toilet in TLD.
Extremely un-Bondian.
--Sean Connery throws up in a bathroom after killing a tarantula in Dr.
No. He also walks in on Fione Volpe in a bathroom in TB. HOW DID THAT
CLASS-LESS SCUM EVER GET A JOB AS BOND???

Exactly what is the fuss being made here? This is the pre-credit sequence
that is supposed to be set in the cricket club changing rooms and the
gunbarrel is formed within the action as Bond shoots his target (thus
cementing his "00" status).
What next? CASINO ROYALE is being shot on film (yes real film)?

Exactly. Sometimes I think scojo and WQ are truly trying to look like

Wait.

'Cause you're taking this too seriously. If a film sucks, people will say
it sucks. If a film is good, people will say it's good. That's the bottom
line. There are no "ilk" as you put it -- all aloing, what everyone has
been saying to you is to wait until the film comes out to judge it, not
that it's going to be great and that's all there is to it. If that's what
you're reading into what people are saying to you, then you really are
misreading a lot of posts. The overwhelming majority of the group has been
saying the same thing all along -- don't prejudge it. Yes, there are
reasons for concern. But there are also reasons to think it'll be a great
picture. Only one thing will tell us for sure -- seeing it. I,
personally, plan to reserve my judgment until that time, just as we've all
been suggesting you do since the beginning. I'm sure most other people
here feel exactly the same way.

--- I guess you missed out on all those little one-liners everyone
throws around like, "This is film is going to be great," "This film is
going to kick ass," "Best film teaser since GondenEye,".... The
one-liner raves go on and on and on, and yet, no one has even seen the
film yet. So what's the difference between what I have to say about it
and what others are saying about it, except that I'm playing devil's
advocate?

--- Well, I'm the sort who can criticize things if I see they're not
going right but at the same time can be objective enough to see if the
finished product actually works or not, because I can keep the two
separate in my mind. Usually I'm right about things, sometimes I'm
not. The most recent example of being wrong about something was the TV
series Prison Break. When this was first announced last year, I
thought it was ridiculous. How could they possibly sustain the concept
over the long haul? Boy, have they surprised me. If CR pulls it off
the way Prison Break has, then I won't have enough good things to say
about it.

Yeah, because according to you there are computers that take blurry
photos and make them perfect, so the story won't work. Brilliant
criticism, like that.

Thank you. That's the most level-headed thing I've ever seen you say on
the board, and I'm glad to hear it.

That's because we have SEEN a teaser. And if somebody happens to
think it is the best teaser since GOLDENEYE, then they're entitled to
make that call because it's out there. It doesn't mean they've decided
either way on the finished film and this is something you seem to have
difficulty, or reluctance, understanding.

--- Oh no, here we go again. It's not ME who said it, I was using
examples of what OTHER people are saying about it. R-E-A-D!

--- Ok, now I know what you're saying. Actually had to go back to the
exact context in which I said it, but you know, it would be nice to not
only extract a single item to which you're specifically referring, but
also the entire quote for its context so I don't end up making
knee-jerk responses if I'm too lazy to look up the original quote. That
seems to be a problem with a lot of posters.

But what YOU said was:
""Best film teaser since GondenEye,".... The one-liner raves go on
and on and on, and yet, no one has even seen the film yet."
The implication being that people are talking about the finished
film and I replied that people are entitled to talk about the
teaser because it *is* finished and is not an endorsement of
the final film R-E-A-D!
