Though the casual dismissal of Dalton is unwarranted in an otherwise
well written piece. Also, to nitpick, "This never happened to the other
fella." were NOT the first words out of Lazenby's mouth in the film.

"My dear girl, there are some things that just aren't done, such as
drinking Dom Perignon '53 above a temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
That's as bad as pissing off Dalton fans."

I agree. The slam on Dalton is totally unwarranted and makes me
question this guy's Bond knowledge. But his praise for Lazenby hits
the nail on the head, IMO.

Q: "Was an Australian underwear model the best Bond ever?"
A: Hardly.

Well, Dan Oko started off with two errors...Lazenby's first line was
definitely *not* "This never happened to the other feller",and he was
not "beaten senseless" by Draco's thugs, as Oko wrote.

Did we see the same film?

Actually, the *actual* first line line uttered by Lazenby was deleted
for the theatrical release of OHMSS.

Here was the actual (deleted) first line, when Tracy overtook Bond on
the coast highway: "That %& [at] #&*$ 006, putting cheap petrol in the
Aston-Martin again! Even a &* [at] #% Cougar blasts me off the &*#$% [at] #
road!"

Best,

James
