Take a moment please, during all the carping about Rupert Grint's
acting, and spare a thought about the agony of 13 year old boys who
have to watch 13 year old girls go for older guys.
After all, girls mature faster than boys, and there are many of us who
had to watch as girls in our classes who we were secretly in love with,
ignored us little boys and went crazy for the higher grades.... It
hurts.
IT's tough to be a 13 or 14 year old boy. Especially if you're just
beginning puberty. Old enough to masterbate but not old enough to get
a date.
Ron my friend, hold on.

Would this be worse than the agony of nice but ordinary girls who watch boys
completely ignore them in favour of the ultra-pretty...?
Helena
"Oh, I see," Hermione said, bristling. "So basically you're going to take
the best-looking girl who'll have you, even if she's completely horrible?"
"Er - yeah, that sounds about right," said Ron

Yup. It may not the same source the pain is the same. In their quest
for acceptance teens can be very cruel.
